JAZZHOUSE is Copenhagen's most important jazz club. The club presents more than 200 concerts a year with the most outstanding contemporary artists and established legends. JAZZHOUSE is a creative powerhouse in Northern Europe when it comes to live concerts and is an influential institution in the development of the concert form. JAZZHOUSE has, in its long history, always been the 'it' jazz scene in Copenhagen, showcasing talented musicians from both near and far.

In order to best represent the diversity of jazz and elevate the music experience, JAZZHOUSE offers 5 distinctive profiles:

CLASSIC JAZZ CLUB is a modern day take on the classic jazz club that adds to the beautiful tradition on which JAZZHOUSE was founded. Crisp white tablecloths dress the tables and dashing wait-staff serve you in an almost cinematically classic atmosphere. Concerts under the profile CLASSIC JAZZ CLUB often gives the audience an unique opportunity to witness the same performers play several back to back concerts giving the musicians and listeners a special opportunity to interact.

JAZZNOW! is the profile of contemporary, improvised and breakthrough music. In JAZZNOW! you can often see electronics and jazz come together in new and unexpected ways - broadening musical horizons and stimulating the imagination. For JAZZNOW! concerts the house is set up to provide the optimum environment for the more experimental art. JAZZNOW! is also the natural platform at JAZZHOUSE to present the growth layer and follow a particular artist's evolution from talent into stardom.
 
SWING PIGALLE is for the swing lover.  It is here that swing music of the highest order is played, danced and listened to when our in-house band Swinghouse Orchestra takes the stage. The repertoire consists of the most amazing dance music written over time. It is elegant and equilibristic swing music, so throw dancing shoes on and follow the red carpet into the hive and dance the night away in true style.
 
JAZZnPOETRY brings together the best of jazz and poetry bound together by the evening's host. Up and coming writers and poets are showcased in collaboration with Denmark's finest jazz musicians in a manner that challenges status-quo in an often magical cauldron of language and music. The audience encompasses the circular stage bringing an element of boxing-ring drama to the experience.
 
The RELATED club profile presents musical experiences that are decidedly not jazz, but are simply too cool to pass up. RELATED is the profile for artists who find inspiration in JAZZHOUSE's intimate backdrop and respectful audience. If you are interested in these cross-genre music experience that sits in and between several chairs, see RELATED. It is of great importance to us at JAZZHOUSE that we maintain close contact with other contemporary music genres that cannot always be categorized as acoustic jazz.

After Friday and Saturday concerts the night club always remains open until dawn-- let go on the dance floor to the hippest DJs and VJs around or head upstairs to the intimate cocktail bar HERLUF and enjoy yet another facet of the club's nightlife.
