Ben Webster remains a true jazz giant. His saxophone sound, combined with his unique melodic mastery, still constitutes one of the most distinctive and artistic voices in jazz. Today, Webster has become both cult and myth - loved by mature aficionados but also appreciated by a younger audience. Ben Webster spent his last eight years in Copenhagen and was buried here in 1973. Every year since its establishment in 1977, the Ben Webster Foundation has honoured Danish and American Jazz musicians with an annual prize. The Foundation is proud to present this very special event celebrating the legacy of Ben Webster.
